Create the Perfect Autumn Day
with Splash Café and Avila Valley Barn

Autumn is finally here, which means soup season is upon us! Now is the time to put on your favorite cozy sweater and enjoy the fresh bounty of fun activities the Central Coast has to offer. So gather the pumpkins, light your fireplace, and get ready to create the Perfect Autumn Day with Splash Café and Avila Valley Barn!

1) Start Your Cozy Autumn Day at Splash Café

A gorgeous Autumn day wouldn’t be complete without a hearty meal and some steaming-hot coffee. Head over to Splash Café in San Luis Obispo for a cup of joe (yes, we have pumpkin spice lattes!) and totally scrumptious grub. Power up with an egg sando made with freshly baked bread from our in-house bakery or order a savory bowl of tot-someness from our popular Munchie Menu. As for drinks, try our seasonal specials: Pumpkin White Mocha (white chocolate, pumpkin, and cinnamon syrup) or Pumpkin Dream (caramel, pumpkin, and hazelnut syrup). You’re going to need lots of energy for all the Fall fun you’re going to have today!

2) Head to Avila Valley Barn for Some Family-Friendly Fun!

From Splash Café, head south to another San Luis Obispo County landmark—the Avila Valley Barn! This family-owned-and-operated farm offers a magical cornucopia of festive seasonal activities. It’s the perfect place to pick pumpkins (for carving or baking), go for a hay ride with the fam, and make some new furry friends. And did we mention the shopping? Avila Valley Barn is famous for its super-ripe fruit and fresh produce, as well as its homemade treats and adorable gifts. Make sure to try their famous, homemade apple cider floats topped with whipped cream and apple cider doughnuts. You can also explore the hay maze and pick your own apples and flowers!

3) Catch the Autumn Sunset at Pismo Beach

The days get shorter in Autumn, which makes for spectacular sunsets! Cruise over to Pismo Beach to see the sky light up with breathtaking oranges, pinks, and purples. Go for a stroll along the beach or pier, and then stop in at Splash Café to pick up some award-winning Clam Chowder and treats for dinner. You’ll love ending the day curled up by the fireplace with Splash Café’s bread pudding and rich Hot Cocoa!
