With summertime in full swing, now is the time to soak up the sunshine and beautiful coastal views by having a super tasty and relaxing beach picnic. When it comes to picnic food, Splash Café has got you covered! From our world-famous Clam Chowder to fresh seafood, specialty sandwiches, and mouthwatering desserts, there are plenty of goodies to enjoy al fresco. Here are our tips for creating the perfect picnic!

1) Grab Lunch To-Go From Splash Café in SLO

Skip stressing about what to pack for your picnic—just head to Splash Café in San Luis Obispo around 10:30 a.m. and we’ll get you hooked up! Order your favorite meals, snacks, and sweets from our extensive menu, as well as beverages (we have sodas, iced tea, coffee, and even flavored Italian sodas).

Picnicking with a large group? Our family platters offer a variety of protein options like Fish, Chicken, Shrimp and more! It also includes Fries, Clam Chowder, drinks, napkins, plates, and utensils for the whole family. Pro tip: Don’t forget to buy one of our cool Splash blankets to lay out on the sand when it’s time to eat!

2) Head Over to Avila Beach and Visit Fisherman’s Beach

Now you’ve got everything you need for a picnic… except the perfect location. We recommend Fisherman’s Beach in Port San Luis Harbor! This secluded stretch of sand is a hidden gem for locals and the ideal place to picnic with the fam, including dogs.

After an early lunch, throw the Frisbee around with Fido, kick back with a good book, or even take the little ones home for a nap before getting ready for a fantastic afternoon concert!

3) Get Down at a Family-Friendly Concert

Keep those picnic vibes going all day long with a concert at the Avila Beach Golf Resort! Reggae rockers Rebelution will be performing Aug. 9 and 10 with special guests Iration, The Expendables, Passafire, and DJ Mackle. Sit out on the grass at this family-friendly show and listen to some cool tunes while indulging in cake pops from our SLO location!
